Our family is located in Beltsville, Maryland, within earshot of the capital beltway. However, our name represents our beautiful view of the Peaks of Otter from our “retirement” home in Bedford, Virginia.
We have always loved and owned dogs but it was not until 1999 that we owned our first Weimaraner, named Blitz. He did some obedience work, earning a CD, before being retired as our family companion. It was because of our daughter’s desire to compete in conformation and other competitions, that we acquired our second Weimaraner, Maxxi. Ashley began taking conformation classes. In the meantime, Heidi Warren, Maxxi’s breeder, showed her to her breed championship. She finished with three majors. She was the 2nd place Intermediate Futurity Bitch at the 2003 WCA Eastern Futurity/Maturity held at the Nationals.
While Maxxi was being shown in breed, Ashley began showing her mother, CH Rina von Reiteralm, in junior showmanship. Once Maxxi had completed her CH, Ashley began showing her in juniors, breed and obedience. She won several BOBs and earned a CGC and CD in obedience. She is pictured winning the Best Junior Handler award at the 2005 Weimaraner Nationals in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It's hard to believe but in 2009 Ashley will be able to show Maxxi in the Veteran's class!

Maxxi's first litter of puppies was born March 10, 2005. From this litter, we kept one female, and placed the others with wonderful families. Ashley has been showing Kira, as well as littermate Remy, and is doing very well against some very stiff competition! Below, she and Kira make a strong showing at the 2006 National Show in Frankenmuth, Michigan.
Mom decided to join in the fun in 2002 and added a French Bulldog to our crew! While showing didn't work out for the Frenchie, we met Nancy Schultz and our adventure with bulldogs began! Win~an's Wake Up Li'l Susie became a part of the Peaksview family in 2004. Nancy has shown her to some impressive wins. Her first litter of puppies was born in September, 2007 and will become the foundation of Peaksview Bulldogs.
